Mohamed Bourouissa: Urban Riders
MAM - Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris
The Museum of Modern Art dedicates the first institutional exhibition in France to Mohamed Bourouissa. Spotted in the Dynasty exhibition in 2010, the Franco-Algerian artist (born in 1978 in Blida) is now considered one of the major artists of his generation. Since his first photographic series (Périphéries, Temps morte) he has not stopped to observe the place of the individual in the social space and to question the margins. His works are both narrative and protocol, and the human dimension is central to it.
